Türkiye invites leaders of Egypt, Libya and Lebanon to rally in support of Palestine
Turkey has extended invitations to the leaders of Egypt , Saudi Arabia , Lebanon , Libya and Jordan to attend a pro- Palestine rally in Istanbul on 28 October. Sabah newspaper reports this , citing sources.
The publication notes that in addition to Turkish President Recep Tayyip, heads of other states may take part in the large rally “to draw attention to the atrocities of Israel and support the Palestinian cause.”
“Heads of foreign states and spiritual leaders have been invited to the rally. Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi were invited , as well as Libya, Lebanon and Jordan at the level of heads of state,” the publication says.
It is not specified whether Ankara received the leaders’ consent to participate in the rally.
It is also stated that many influential representatives of the media, sports, art, business, and the Palestinian diaspora will take part in the rally.
Prior to this, Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused Western countries of violating international law due to their unconditional support for Israel.
Earlier, the Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that it rejected Erdogan’s inflammatory words about Hamas.
